St Andrews Wedding Photographer

Lucy and George met studying at University in St Andrews, so it was only right that they gathered all their nearest and dearest to celebrate them tying the knot back where it all started.

Morning preparations kicked off at The Old Course Hotel where I caught up with Lucy and her bridesmaids who were getting ready by SK Makeup Studio. Handily, one of Lucy's bridesmaids, Ashleigh, is also a hairstylist - who did an incredible job not only getting the bridal party ready but also performing bridesmaid duties to a tee - there's a wee golf pun for you (on her birthday no less!).

The ceremony itself took place in the absolutely stunning St Salvator's Chapel, which has to be up there as one of the most photogenic churches I have taken photos in at least.

We had a brief wander around St Andrews before heading back to The Old Course Hotel for the remainder of the day. Drinks reception was held in the conservatory, which is a wonderful room steeped in light, overlooking the Old Course. The evening reception was kicked off by the VH Five who got the dancefloor absolutely jumping.

We managed to sneak off for a quick ten minutes of portraits during the reception during what appeared at first to be a pretty uninteresting overcast golden hour. Only for the clouds to part to unveil the most incredible sunset, I honestly couldn't believe our luck.

All in all it was an absolutely incredible day, which was a pleasure to be a part of. Thanks so much for having me along for the day Lucy and George.
